Altitude Espresso
Grown in the highlands of Cerro Azul, Honduras, where volcanic soils and steady mountain mist slow the cherry's development and concentrate its sugars. The result is a structured, full-bodied espresso with natural sweetness and a clean, lasting finish.
This coffee comes from COHORSIL — the Cooperativa Hormiguitas de Siguatepeque Limitada — a cooperative of smallholder families who have cultivated coffee in the Cerro Azul highlands for generations. At 1,200 to 1,600 metres, cool temperatures and frequent cloud cover extend the growing season, allowing the cherry to ripen slowly and develop layered complexity. Typica, Bourbon, and Catuai varietals are harvested, then washed and sun-dried — a process that preserves the bean's natural clarity and structure. Tasting notes of apple, dark chocolate, and roasted nuts make this an espresso that pulls with density and finishes without bitterness.
